Your guide to CaveSignal
CaveSignal gives you a private character to shape. You choose every state, build their history, and decide whether a specific update should reach someone you trust.
The basic rhythm
Create, choose, save privately, or reach out.
Your character can represent you, a fictional version of you, or simply a character you enjoy shaping. CaveSignal never determines what the character feels and does not assess your real emotional state.
Create your character
Choose a private name, the Nova or Ember artwork collection, a theme, and an optional short fictional description. Keep the description fictional and avoid sensitive personal details.
Choose what they feel
Open My Cave and choose the illustrated state you think fits your character. You make the choice; CaveSignal does not infer it.
Save the moment privately
Add an optional support preference and private note. Before the first entry, accept the separate private-history notice. Private notes are never included when you share an update.
Invite someone you trust
Build a small circle, not an audience.
- Open Circle and create a private invitation.
- Send the one-time link privately to one person you trust.
- They sign in or create an account, then choose whether to accept.
- Connecting never reveals the character row, old history, or future entries. You still choose every update you want to share.
Share and respond
Make the next conversation easier.
After saving a character state, choose an accepted connection. The preview shows the character name, saved Nova or Ember artwork, selected state, optional support preference, and separate message. Your private note is clearly marked “Not shared.” The recipient may answer with a private Cave Note, and you can stop sharing the update later.
See your patterns
Look back without judging the week.
History is your character's dated private record, with bounded pages and date filters for 7 days, 30 days, one year, or all time. Insights counts only the states you explicitly selected. It does not score wellbeing, diagnose, predict, or interpret you.
Optional public character
Share the character, not the person behind them.
From Account, you can review an exact preview and enable a small fictional character page with a separate public name, a Nova or Ember artwork collection, theme, and description. You may publish one current character vibe separately. Saving a private entry or changing the private collection never changes the public page; review and save the public presentation when you want to update it. Your email, account name, history, private notes, support choices, Circle, Inbox, Cave Notes, and Insights remain private. Search indexing is off for this release, but anyone with the random link can view or copy what you deliberately publish. You can remove the vibe, disable the page, or delete the public presentation at any time.
Your control
Nothing leaves your cave by accident.
You can edit presentation fields without rewriting historical states, delete an entry, export retained data, or delete the character and all associated history and active shares.
